First documented case of “Climate Change Delusion”

I saw this article on Drudge and didn’t think much of it at first. I clicked on it and began reading…and couldn’t stop laughing. I guess you can file this right alongside Bush Derangement Syndrome as new psychological afflictions that liberals have helped to spawn. Although, I don’t think Obama-thongs can cure this one. But don’t fret, I’m sure Obama hats are already in the works, just as soon as they find some unionized, non-sweatshop, organic hat-makers.

“A 17-year-old man was referred to the inpatient psychiatric unit at Royal Children’s Hospital Melbourne with an eight-month history of depressed mood . . . He also . . . had visions of apocalyptic events.”

He must have just gotten through watching “An Inconvenient Truth” for the 153rd time in a row. Those images of an underwater NYC evidently gave him nightmares. But it gets better…

“The patient had also developed the belief that, due to climate change, his own water consumption could lead within days to the deaths of millions of people through exhaustion of water supplies.”

As most of us rational conservatives know, it just doesn’t make logical sense that one’s personal consumption of water could cause the deaths if millions of people. However, a simple logistical problem like that doesn’t slow down the liberal brain. Oh no, anything and everything you do affects millions of people. It isn’t uncommon to hear the liberal mom say things like “You better eat that soy dog, Johnny or half the population of Japan is going to go homeless and die.”

I always knew I liked the Aussies and if I had to pull a Baldwin and leave the country if Obama wins, I’d probably choose to move there. The article goes on and continues to entertain me to the fullest.

“And here is a senior Sydney Morning Herald journalist aghast at the horrors described in the report on global warming released on Friday by Rudd’s guru, Professor Ross Garnaut: “Australians must pay more for petrol, food and energy or ultimately face a rising death toll . . .”

Wow. Pay more for food or die. Is that Rudd’s next campaign slogan?

Of course it is. It’s the campaign slogan of almost every single “progressive” politician out there. They are complaining about how these high gas prices and rising food prices are hurting the average American, yet quietly in their offices they are celebrating. High energy prices are EXACTLY what the left wants. Which is also exactly why the left is doing EVERYTHING they can to prevent logical and reasonable expansion of domestic energy production.

Anyways, the article continues and talks about the ultimate ineffectiveness in global carbon emission rates even if Australia were to adopt the suggest policies. It’s really a good read and I highly suggest you check it out.

UPDATE: Thanks to Bring the Heat, Bring the Stupid for my first link, and welcome fellow morons.
