Michael Crichton dies at age 66

He’s always been one of my favorite writers, and “Jurassic Park” was probably one of the reasons I started reading as much as I did when I was homeschooled.  The article informed me of a few things about the man I never knew.  Crichton was a native of Chicago, and recieved his MD from Harvard Medical School.  His first bestseller “The Andromeda Strain” was published while he was a medical student.

Best-selling author and filmaker Michael Crichton died unexpectedly in Los Angeles Tuesday, after a courageous and private battle against cancer, according to a statement released by his family. He was 66.

Amazing storyteller, and I always love the massive amount of science he injects into his stories.  If you haven’t read more of his books, I highly suggest that you do.

My condolences to his friends and family.
